Cierra Higgins

President

Cierra is a strong supporter of human-centered design and community advocacy. Before moving to Seattle, she pursued her dual Master’s degree in Architecture and Urban Design at Washington University in St. Louis. During her time there, she gained a love for finding design solutions that had a significant social and environmental impact on marginalized communities. This led her to be later awarded the E. Todd Wheeler Health Fellowship at Perkins&Will, where she continued her research exploring how thoughtful design can positively influence public health and community wellness. She is now an Architectural Associate II at Environmental Works, whose mission is to uplift human dignity within the built environment by building equitable and healthier communities through advocacy and community collaboration.

As the NOMA|nw President, Cierra is excited about strengthening our chapter’s infrastructure and visibility within the industry, as well as expanding our outreach and engagement beyond our member base into our surrounding communities.
