Community Engagement Liaison

Role: The Community Outreach Liaison shall oversee Chapter communications and coordination with allied community organizations/partners, and carry out the duties and responsibilities prescribed in these Bylaws. 

Responsibilities:

• Foster relationships with new and old Chapter-allied community organizations/partners  

• Oversee management of the Chapter’s community outreach and engagement events, including but not limited to:

  • Seattle Design Festival

  • Quarterly (or Semi-annual) Volunteer Events  

• Maintain a calendar of outreach activities, community events, workshops, appearances, and other communication opportunities with allied community organizations/partners  

• Coordinate with allied community organizations’/partners’ events in which the Chapter is involved  

Accountability:

• Shall report to the Board of Directors for updates on events/initiatives pertaining to community outreach.

Qualifications:

• Excels in communication and outreach with local (preferably BIPOC led) businesses and organizations to develop strategic relationships and garner engagement within the greater community.

• Excels in time management and organization to meet deadlines

• Ability to outline goals, set deadlines, and lead a team to success

• Preferred Software Experience

• Microsoft Excel (or Google Sheets)

• Microsoft Forms (or other poll/surveying software)
