Open Board Member Positions

 

Member Engagement Liaison

Role: The Member Engagement Liaison shall work closely with general members, local firms, and other AEC affiliated organizations to promote opportunity for professional advancement, networking, and community. This role should carry out the duties and responsibilities prescribed in the Chapter Bylaws.

Responsibilities:

  • Direct member engagement and communication to help build community within the chapter

  • Devise strategies and communicate with Board Members on ways to increase annual membership

    • Review and assess monthly membership roster to encourage membership growth and retention

  • Coordinate across other chapter committees as they relate to member engagement, to build robust annual programs and initiatives. All events/initiatives made available to the general members should be coordinated with the Marketing Director.

  • Poll/Survey the general member base (bi-annually) to best understand member needs/interests and strategize future events/initiatives based on those results.

  • Lead both the Professional Development and Social Chairs in their respective event budgeting and planning

  • Maintain a comprehensive calendar of all events and initiatives pertaining to member engagement.

  • Coordinate Continuing Educational Units and submit them to the AIA, when applicable

Accountability:

  • Shall report to the Board of Directors for updates on events/initiatives pertaining to member outreach.

Qualifications:

  • Excels in communication and outreach to develop strategic relationships and garner engagement

  • Excels in time management and organization to meet deadlines

  • Ability to outline goals, set deadlines, and lead a team to success

  • Preferred Software Experience

    • Microsoft Excel (or Google Sheets)

    • Microsoft Forms (or other poll/surveying software)
