Board Member Positions

 

Parliamentarian

Role: The Parliamentarian’s role is similar to a “project manager”. They are responsible for overseeing the internal day-to-day tasks of the chapter and ensure that board members have what is needed for weekly operations to run smoothly, be internally organized, and on stay on schedule . The Parliamentarian will have knowledge of all operations going on within the chapter and will delegate and share that information as needed with the necessary parties.

Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with the Secretary to create meeting agendas, including but not limited to:

    • Annual Board Retreat,

    • Monthly Board Meetings

    • Open Chapter meetings 

  • Be aware of all operations within the chapter and assist board members where needed 

  • Manage Chapter Microsoft Office Account

  • Ensure that operations and goals are being met by all members 

  • Stay up-to-date on Chapter Email correspondence as needed 

  • Respond to Job Board requests, and ensure website remains updated 

Accountability:

  • Report to the Board for the acceptability and disbursement of meeting minutes, task assignments, and amendments to the Bylaws

Qualifications:

  • Proactively takes initiative and works well both independently and within a team

  • Excels in time management and organization to meet deadlines

  • Ability to outline goals, set deadlines, and lead a team to success

  • Preferred Software Experience

    • Microsoft Office (Teams/Outlook/Excel)

    • Miro

    • Mailchimp

    • Squarespace
