Board Member Positions

 

Vice President

Role: Secondary point of contact for all outward Chapter communication. The role of the VP is to help manage the chapter's overall operations and administration; provide both short-term and long-term planning for the chapter's annual objectives, goals, initiatives, and annual Sponsorship Drive; and to help facilitate targeted financial planning for the Chapter. Additionally, the Vice President assists in high-level planning of the overall growth of the Chapter--both in membership levels, finances, and the building of strong professional relationships with Ally leaders and organizations throughout the community.

Responsibilities:

  • Act as the primary point of contact in the absence of the Chairperson of the Board/President in all respects  

  • Work with the Board of Directors to envision and succeed in annual objectives and initiatives with the goal of growing the chapter

  • Provide final approval of all outward Chapter communications/actions by Standing Committees not already chaired by another Director, unless otherwise agreed upon by the Board  

  • Report to the Board the status of communications between the following parties:

    • West Region NOMA Chapters

    • Chapter Sponsors and other Allied Organizations

Accountability:

  • Shall be directly accountable to the Board of Directors

Qualifications:

  • Proactively takes initiative and works well both independently and within a team

  • Excels in time management and organization to meet deadlines

  • Ability to outline short and long-term goals, set deadlines, and lead a team to success

  • Has extensive outreach within the AEC industry as well as the greater Seattle community

  • Preferred Software Experience
